I have twenty years experience of working with young people as a workshop leader, theatre designer and teacher. I gained my QTS then ran the Art Department jointly at Upper Avon School, Wiltshire. A move to London as Head of Department at John Penrose School saw me working hard with the rest of the staff to raise standards and take the school out of Special Measures.
My skills range from painting murals to withy workshops, set and costume design to mod roc sculptures. I love to devise innovative, fun, space-changing projects for schools and communities. Or you can hand me a brief that fits a particular area of the curriculum.
I feel passionate about bringing a positive creative experience to people of all ages and abilities.
‘Genevieve can be counted on to think of fun creative projects for our children to enjoy and respond to. She has produced a varied programme of workshops for our pupils ranging from reception to Y6. There has been scenic painting, sculptures responding to nanotechnology and a mosaic stream with KS2. Whole school junk modelling and bug & butterfly sculptures with reception have also allowed pupils to learn new skills and use new materials. I would highly recommend her!’
